James began his career in hair styling back in 1997, when, he started as a 'Saturday boy' then as an apprentice for the Shears Group in Croydon, and attending college in Bromley

In 1999 James completed his NVQ's levels 1&2 in hairdressing and in customer services, and was promoted to junior stylist and colour technician. Over the next 3 years James was involved in many in-house competitions, winning 'Junior of the Year'.

While being promoted through the ranks to the position of Senior Stylist, James completed many courses including L'Oreal's Colour Keys and Advanced Colour Keys.

In 2002 James left Croydon to work in the flag ship salon of Charles Worthington on Percy Street, in London's West End.
As well as working in the salon 5 days a week, James continued with his training by attending many more courses and training days, including Advanced Colour and Advanced Cutting with Charles Worthington, James was also involved with the Art Team at Charles Worthington, working on magazine shoots for 19 Magazine and styling hair for  fashion designer Julian McDonald at London Fashion Week.

After a couple of years of working in the west end James decided it was time for another challenge. He is now an established free lance hair stylist and colour technician.
